Pokémon Center drops move FAST, and the difference between a confirmed order and a sad “sold out” screen usually comes down to prep. Here’s our full game plan for getting through the queue and checkout smoothly.
1. Do Your Prep Work Early
- Set up your account days ahead. Create it, verify your email and save your shipping and billing addresses so nothing needs typing on drop day.
- Save your payment method. Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay make mobile checkout way quicker than entering a card.
- Log in before the queue opens. Being signed in ahead of time saves precious seconds once you’re through.
2. Play the Queue the Smart Way
Big drops use a virtual waiting room. Once you’re in line, your spot is held, so let it work for you.
- Don’t refresh the waiting room. Refreshing can cost you your place in line.
- Stick to one tab. Opening lots of tabs on the same connection can look like bot activity and get you blocked.
- Turn on notifications so you know the moment it’s your turn.
3. Don’t Look Like a Bot
- Go clean. Turn off heavy extensions, ad blockers and VPNs, and use a regular Chrome, Safari or Edge window.
- Click once, then wait. Rapid-fire clicking can trigger anti-bot protection.
- Stay on one stable Wi-Fi network. Switching networks changes your IP address and can end your session.
4. Nail the Cart and Checkout
- Skip slow pages. If the product page is crawling after you add an item, head straight to your cart.
- Use express checkout with your saved wallet to finish in a couple of taps.
- Respect quantity limits. Going over the per-customer limit can get your order canceled.
5. Troubleshooting Common Errors
